As an artist I feel that the creation and the performance of a work are equally important. I find a lot of peace and fulfillment in the work in the studio as well as when I get to perform the product on a stage. I think that is a big reason I am so interested in modern dance. There is so much care, thought, and artist interaction in the creation of a modern dance piece that I always feel so emotionally involved once it gets time to perform it. I want to continue to be part of projects and processes like that through my career as a dancer and also as a creator.

I dance and practice yoga because I feel that it brings me closer to my soul. The world around us can confuse and influence us and it is very easy to deter from your true path but I feel that when I dance and practice yoga I am better able to see my path clearly. Dance is such a sharable art form and I love that about it. It's amazing when I am able to be a witness to other people discovering (or re-discovering) their soul through dance and yoga. A huge goal of mine is to be able to continue to practice and create dance and art among other artists that share the same passion. If I succeed in that, I have truly made it.
